Hello, this is MAHARI.

Many foreigners are thinking below;

“I want to study Japanese but can’t attend Japanese language school because of money.”

My husband attended free Japanese classes and can speak daily Japanese in just 1 year.

Also, he has been able to interview in Japanese and works at a Japanese company full-time.

This article will introduce Japanese language classes that foreigners can participate in without spending money.

*This time, I am introducing online classes.

A corporation entrusted by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare operates a Japanese language class.

There are three classes for each level, and Japanese classes are currently being held online and in the classroom.

L1This class is for people who are studying Japanese for the first time, who can speak a little Japanese but cannot read or write Hiragana and Katakana very well.
L2This class is for people who can read and write Hiragana and Katakana and has studied a little Japanese before. It is also for people who can hold simple conversations in Japanese but wish to learn how to speak polite Japanese.
L3This class is for people who can read and write Hiragana, Katakana, and simple Kanji characters and can carry on conversations in Japanese fairly well. It is recommended for people who wish to learn how to speak appropriately in the workplace by the situation or the person being said to.

Points To Note When Attending JICE Japanese Language Classes

Must Apply For It By Yourself

For example, a family member or friend cannot apply on your behalf.

You must have your residence card and apply at Hello Work.

If you are not comfortable with Japanese, it is good to bring someone who can speak Japanese with you.

You Should Pass A Level Check Test Before Joining The Class

There is a “level check test” as an ordeal after applying.

Please practice reading and writing Japanese, as the test has both written and spoken parts.

Also, even if it was a level 1 class, rather than saying, “I can’t speak or understand Japanese at all,” to a certain extent, reading and writing “hiragana” and “katakana”, I think learning Japanese is more fun if you can do simple greetings.

JICE confirms that you understand the content of the class.

Don’t worry, it’s not as tough as a school exam!

Participation Required At The Same Time On Weekdays

JICE’s Japanese classes are 4-5 days a week, less than 2 hours a day.

It will be hard to apply for classes if you cannot attend some days due to work or other commitments.

When you sign up, make sure the class you want is available every time.

Japanese For Work

JICE’s Japanese language classes are for people looking for a job.

Therefore, they are not for people who want to study daily conversation.

Keep in mind that it is a place to use in business to learn the language and culture.

My husband took all the levels, but there were times when he felt that the content of level 3 was so hard for Japanese people.

Finally

So far, I have introduced free Japanese classes that you can take online.

There are so many Japanese classes for foreigners that you don’t have to pay to learn Japanese.

I would be happy if I could help you study Japanese even a little!
